(Serious) Life Play

(Serious) Life Play™ is a set of my favourite ‘go to’ Life design exercises. I designed it so that whether you choose to work with me or not, you can learn how to design a great life based on what matters to you most.

Each exercise will help you to find clarity and confidence in who you are, what you want and how to get there. These exercises are full of the most important questions that I have asked and answered in my own life and with clients all over the world. They’re the questions that we all know we need to ask and answer but find ourselves too scared or too busy to make the time.

So, if you’ve ever wondered what your dream life would be like or what kind of beliefs you need in order to live a happy and successful life, (Serious) Life Play™ will give you a way to find the answers.

I created (Serious) Life Play™ because I believe that life is a game and the better we know ourselves the better we can play. Once you’ve taken a deep dive into your own story use these exercises to connect in a new way with people you think you know and those you don’t.

Special notes on the making of this keepsake

This project has been a labour of love for me. It began before my second granddaughter was born in December 2020. Yes, that year when the pandemic changed everything about how we work and play. It is a legacy piece. Something I can share with my daughter and our family, and to the extended family I’ve formed all over the world. For that important reason it had to not only be a helpful  artefact, it had to be a beautiful piece to look at and to hold. And I thank everyone who helped bring it to life.

  • Jac from JAC& pulled out her paint brushes and played with her creativity to create a playfully beautiful design.

  • Crystal, Lauren, Will and Samson at Apostrophe.xyz played masterfully to distil the gravity of the exercises in a way I hope you find flows easily and with a sense of fun.

  • Jenna and her magical crew at Hungry workshop used their original Heidelberg Windmill Platen Press to produce the textural book cover that reflects the fact that SLP is about exploring the depths and texture of life.

  • Charlton from Work Works assisted with production and sourced the rich feeling paper and card stock from the Ball and Doggett range, so that as your life design kit ages with wear, and hopefully too much use, it continues to look and feel beautiful.

I hope you enjoy playing seriously with your life.
